Arizona comes in all shapes and sizes. She has forests, deserts, lakes, snow, fields of flowers, rivers, and canyons. Oh, Arizona’s Canyons. And I’m not even talking about her most famous canyon. There are a tone of rad places in Arizona, but Page Arizona is *the place* for a slot canyon adventure session.

Slot canyons are extremely narrow canyons that can measure as narrow as 3 ft. in width and as deep as 300 ft. They are formed over millions of years as water, wind, and larger sedimentary particles erode existing channels in the earth’s surface.

Buckskin Gulch is another favorite among slot canyons. Arizona and Utah are well known for their slot canyons, which provide a cool hiking escape from hot temperatures and an even cooler outdoor photography adventure. The photos in this essay represent two of my favorites: Buckskin Gulch slot canyon and Antelope Canyon slot canyon.
